Breeders: A Litter & D litter Rokaro; Music Theme, Anyuta and Aiva's Litters, Demian/Anyuta  Blackmoor Partners; Fandango (1) & (2) Rokaro & WNS;  Anastasia Rokaro & WNS;  Agat, Sue Blanchard, Cresset, Demian, Soyara, (list to be completed). Owing to the popularity of Tuppence's champion offspring a number of other kennels became involved in co-breedings and co-ownerships.  Not all the finished champions produced offspring or champion offspring.  There are several promising litters, most recently from CnAmCh Rokaro's Leonie (ready to show Nov. 14th/05) and one sired by Kishniga's Love's Labour at Hi Tor.

Tuppence and her brother Tommy were named after the interesting couple, Tommy and Tuppence Beresford, who were detectives and spy catchers in novels by Agatha Christie.  Their sister Katya made her mark at Swanmanor Kennel and a brother went to Puerto Rico. Tommy, although not long lived, was the first to win a trophy for top graduate in their obedience classes, and was a beloved family pet. Tuppence not only was a top producer, but had two excellent qualities which she passed on.  She was a most loving companion and family pet, devoted to her own offspring.  Until the very end in fall '98 she only wanted to lie out in their enclosure and watch them.  They loved her, and often lay beside her, or came up for a kiss.  She was extraordinarily playful, and all her offspring share this trait and have passed it on.  Her lovely coat, ultra refined head and fine expression speak for themselves in the photos below.  She was the ultimate caring mother and extroverted Borzoi.  While sadly missed, she lives on in numerous winning offspring.  The few in companion homes are dearly loved and much admired by their owners.  Dichok is so devoted they call him Shadow, and Allegra, if surgery had not been required, might have been pick of all of them.  Tuppence was retired at the top, Best Brood Bitch in Show at the OSA, and had the happiness of living for most of her life with loving descendants, Azart, Denka, Fanny, Desparado, Phoebe (Breathless Summer) and grandkids Sequoia, Ascot, and greatgranddaughter Winchester.

Tuppence was an only puppy here for some of her early days, and was raised and pampered that first year by my mother, Lillian Armstrong, and her caregiver Ann Towine who holding her in the one year photo. While I was out teaching, they gratified her every wish.  Her companions here included two older Borzoi, Xavier and Elendra, and two Dobermans. Dr. R. Meen piloted her to her first win in Sweeps at Credit Valley. A special thanks to Barb Curtis, Calle Del, Sue Blanchard, Cresset, the partners at Blackmoor (Karen Wilkin, Mary Mazur, Christina Shepard) and all the others who helped show her and her offspring to their fine wins.   Others involved with her offspring include Marcia Barss, Barslund (Arapov), Viann Clements (Aviann), Prewitt Owen (Borzowen), Vickie Sharp (Carbonel...two new grandsons), Henri Goldner (Echovesna), and Mary Childs, co-breeder of Fanny's litter and handler for two of  Desparado's three majors (thanks to Barb Curtis for the first 5 pt. one).   Demian's offspring are with Prudence Hlatky (Soyara). Much credit to Vicki Sharp (Carbonel) for making Domovoy Tuppence's first LCM offspring.  Note that WindnSatin Beretta has her LCM2 among other titles.  Agat also was an effective titled courser.

The decline in CnAmChampions at the second generation level is owing to the fact that Blackmoor Kennel relocated to NM, a long way from the Canadian border.  AmCh Blackmoor Kallisto is in Canada now to hopefully get his Canadian title. AmCh Windnsatin Jagged Edge is a Canadian specialty winner and hopefully will get the second title as well.  Some new contenders will be located on the Niagara Frontier, and some of the Echovesna Borzoi are Canadian pointed and likely to finish soon.

Tuppence, we miss you, and will take your puppies as far as we can.   You loved to sit and watch them in life, and we hope you will enjoy  from a distance as they go on, like you, extroverted, playful, and loving.  They are a credit to you, and you were one in a million to us. Wait over the Rainbow Bridge til we come for you.
